Polarized sunglasses are famous due to the positive impact they have on the performance and optimum safety of outdoor enthusiasts. The best polarized sunglasses help reduce the glare from surface reflections that is why fishermen, boaters, golfers, bikers, joggers, and other outdoor enthusiasts use them on their activities.
How Do Polarized Sunglasses Work?

Polarized lenses, however, come with a filter that can reduce glares by blocking the reflected light. Apart from the outdoor enthusiasts, people who are sensitive to the light or those who just had surgery are usually advised and recommended to use these glasses to protect their eyes.

Also, if you need sunglasses for rehabilitation purposes, or if you just had eye surgery or have sensitive eyes, then it is best to involve your doctor in the decision-making step, so you can choose the best sunglasses for you medically speaking.
I like sports sunglasses and I wear it every day outdoors even if I’m not running or biking. From your list, I like the Oakley the most but wondering what do you mean by average face? The Rayban in your list does not look like sports sunglasses so I would not pick that. Overal, very informative review and thanks for sharing your top picks.
Hi Ian Froi and thank you.
Average face is a thing which designer of sunglasses have in mind when they design the sunglasses. For sure it a big debate of what average face looks like exactly. In Wikipedia they use, to explain it:
“Symmetry is therefore simply a component of an average face without being the primary or dominant contributor to the attractiveness of the composite face.” Actually I very interesting reading! You can see it here.

Hi,
Thanks for the recommendations!
I have been looking for a reasonable price for polarized sunglasses. Something under $100.
What is confusing is that some sunglasses are priced at $200+ and some are at around $20!
Are these differences based on brand names only or do they mean serious differences in the quality?
I mean, how can I decide if a certain sunglasses is safe to use or not. What certificates should I look for?
Thank you in advance!
Amjad
Hi, Amjad and thank you.
Yes, you are right, it is a big range in prices of sunglasses.
Some of it is because of the name of the brand, and it can be pros and cons to that. For sure, some brands are simple to expensive. But about other can be, and are most of the time, a reason for it.
For example. When I buy running shoes I start looking for a product from brands I know that fit me well. Other can be great but is not right for my feet. I know they are more expensive but on the same time I know because I choose their products that I´m secure to get things which are most important for my feet, I know that in this products is the quality I´m looking for, etc. So I´m as much security to get the things I want in this or that product.
The reason I name this example is that it is ok if good brands are more expensive because of the quality, that is normal because quality costs money. But you need to know what you are looking at and what you want to have in your sunglasses. That is why I am happy to let know that I had written an article about you should have in mind when you are searching for sunglasses. You can see it here if you want.
The most important factor you need to have in mind is that they have full protection against UV. And how is the frame and how comfortable you are in them when you moving?
Too, if the sunglasses are too cheap, I would think twice before I buy it because as I said before quality costs so to cheap can be a sign of something is missing or in low quality. When you look carefully on the glasses, is any reason to believe the glasses could break easily? If so, don´t buy it. It needed to be solid.
Having said this, you can get good cheap sunglasses from unknown factories, just too cheap would let me think twice or even more.
