Good article and great ways to stretch shoes. I have one particular pair that stretches from wearing them so it is very uncomfortable and painful at first. To break them in, I try to wear them to places I know I won’t have to do a lot of walking and I keep plasters handy just in case until they eventually stretch and stop hurting. My feet are small so thankfully I don’t need to stretch shoes very often. I did have a question with the freezer method, why do you need to keep the plastic/balloon in for 20 minutes after removing the shoes from the freezer?

      Hi, Cyndy and thank you.

Thank you for your kind words.

The running shoes have development fast over the years. Part of the developments is that it is not needed to stretch the shoes as often as before. I remember the time when I played soccer as many of the players necessary to take a bath in the soccer shoes!

The reason I recommended to wait in 20 minutes is to give the ice time to thaw. If you do that, it is much easier to remove the plastic bag or balloon.

If I can help you with anything else, or if you have any questions, don´t hesitate to contact me.

My kids and I have a whole of tight shoes at home, and they keep pilling up every season. This well structured and easy to understand review has not just taught me how to make those shoes size me. It has given me insights on how to manage resources. Now, I can wear my shoes with comfort. Kudos.

It is really nice. I have had issues with shoe sizes since I was a little boy and most time I just settle for sandals or slippers and till now I hardly find my shoe size. I have heard about shoe stretcher, but I don’t really know how to go about it. I’m glad to have learned how to use it and even more, methods to go about it. Thanks for this really nice information
