Hi and thanks for the great review. The first of all I would like to say that genuine Japanese product is the high quality. I never came across of running shoes and even first read about such a brand ASICS but looks good and price I checked in the Amazon is quite friendly. I hope that sneakers for men are the same quality. The only drawback and for me, it is very important is the breathable issue. It is so common for most sports shoes.

      Thank you, Andrejs.

ASICS is a great brand, known for huge quality. The name stands for famous Latin phrase which is, translated in English  “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.”

And yes, you can trust the quality from this brand.  They have to build it up from the focus to do all things which as good qualities as they can. And I´m in no doubt that that is the reason for their popularity.

But about the breathable issue. You are right that it is a con of many shoes. But not all! Have a look at the NIKE Men’s Revolution 3 Running Shoe, you can read about it here. It is very breathable.

Thank you for the detailed product reviews and insightful article! My girlfriend has a pair of Nike’s (as do I) and we both find that they are made of such thin materials that they almost always tear after a short amount of time. I think we will have to start looking into Asics more as they seem much more durable. Do you have a favorite brand yourself?

      Thank you, Connor.

Asics are so well known for their high quality shoes and sports equipment that it is easy to recommended it.

But having said that, it is important to know that it is quite possible that some brands are better for you than others. You have not good experience of NIKE but a lot of people does. It is not because you are wrong or NIKE aren´t good enough. The reason is that we are all different if you look at body, how we move, what we use (in this case) shoes for, and for so many reason.

You ask me about me favorite brand. I have always been a big Adidas fan. But Under Amour are growing too. But the reason I like Adidas shoes is that their have a lower balance and are wider which fit me very well. A lot of people don´t like it and like more NIKE, Asics, Mizuno, Under Amour or other brands for other reason. That is the reason for I stress so much to let me readers know about as many pros and cons on things, things which I strongly believe are part of the best things in the market.

    Hi there,

Great article, I’ve found it very useful!
I started to run a few weeks ago, and I really need a good pair of running shoes. I didn’t want to invest in a new pair because I wanted to see if I am serious about running. But now that I am getting into it, I will buy good shoes.
I like the last pair because they were made by Japanese and oh boy when they do something, you can be sure it will last for a long time:)
I’ll check on Amazon if they ship out of US, too.
Thank you for this excellent post!

      Thank you, Daniella.

I understand you very well. I used Mizuno in handball and in the gym and know a lot of people which had used it a lot. All is agree how good quality Mizuno focus on.

Mizuno was founded in 1906 in Japan by the brothers Rihachi and Rizo Mizuno. In the first year, they sold a variety of Western products, including baseball baskets, but later in the year they started selling
their own clothing and in 1913 Mizuno began producing and selling baseball products. Today, Mizuno is a leading brand in baseball equipment, golf clubs, shoes and sports equipment.
