  1. The Altra One would’ve been a ringer if it wasn’t for durability issues, but the Terraflex shoe looks like a promising product. It’s a steeper price, but the natural feel and breathability of these shoes definitely makes them worth the buy. I love the flexibility of the shoes as well. How durable is the Terraflex?

    • Hello, Todd Matthews, and thank you.

Thank you for your kind words.

Great to hear about your benefit of the article.

I am always cautious when I talk durability of shoes and more things. It because there are so many things which come in mind. Like how your body is, where and how do you run, how well you take care of your shoes, etc. Last week I was talking about a friend of mine which hike a lot, and we were talking about a great brand.

She told me that it was one of her best shoes she had got for hiking. She only needs to change each year. On the same time I have used my hiking shoes in 15 years, and it is still great! But I don´t use it much, and when I use it, it is more for a few hours walking in a row. She, on the other hand, walk a lot on a road which takes 1-5 days to walk in a very ambition place from nature, so the stress on the shoes is a lot.

And it is similar to shoes. There are thumb rules that shoes manage 3-4.000 miles, but there are so many factors which came in that picture. You should never run on to old shoes. But this model has an essential quality in all things which quality where durable come in so I would say that average it should be more durable than most shoes. Runners who run a lot on these shoes have talked about it too. So, in my opinion, you would be fine these shoes about how durable it is.

  4. Having a good pair of running shoes is very important if you go running regularly otherwise you are not going to be comfortable, and that might put you off ever going jogging again

I recently started cross country running which is quite difficult but really rewarding once I have achieved what you set out to do

I’m looking for a pair of zero drop running shoes that are not only durable and comfortable but that are waterproof as well as most of my cross country runs end up with me running through streams and rivers, do you have any suggestions for me to try out, please?

    • Hello, Matthew, and thank you.

Cross country running is exciting and excellent training. It is challenging as you say, but if you build you up steady by steady, I´m sure you will manage it. Just give yourself time.

I wrote about zero drops/barefoot running shoes which are so good in water that you can use them as water shoes! It is the Oranginer Men’s Barefoot Shoes, have a look at it. You can see it here.

Don´t let the words confuse you, barefoot and zero-drop shoes made with the same ideology in mind.
