  1. The Garmin Forerunner 230 looks pretty durable. Would you say that it is one of the most durable active watches on the market? I have had an Apple Watch for the last 2 Year’s. There are a lot of qualities I like about it, but it is not extremely durable, and I like to work out and go for runs. I am constantly wiorried about breaking it.

    • Hi, Jordan and thank you.

In my opinion is Garmin watches one of the most durable on the market. Of course are many great brands on the market but their popularity show too how much quality is in their matches.

I have personally used Garmin for a long time and are very happy with it.

If I can help you with anything else, or if you have any questions, don´t hesitate to contact me.

  2. My brother’s birthday is coming and he really likes swimming and I think this can be a good gift for him. And I am a complete beginner when it comes to watches. You mentioned that it has 90 days warranty. Should not it be longer? Or is it same for most of the watches?

    • Hi, Furkan and thank you.

You right, it should be longer and it is. Here is mention the minimum warranty which is repairs which have 90 days warranty.  If the unit sent in is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original 1-year warranty, depending upon which is longer.

The basic is 1-Year Warranty against any manufacturing defect (not applicable on Accessories like Battery and on Physical Damage).

It is right to have in mind too that warranty is different between countries because of different laws about it. For example, it´s longer here in Iceland. It is even different between states in the USA.

But here is a good link about the Garmin warranty policy on Amazon.
