I’ve often wondered about their real-world performance, especially concerning cushioning and keeping the feet fresh. Your insights into Puma’s unique features, like the IGNITE foam, were quite revealing. How do you think Puma’s tech, such as IGNITE foam, stands up against innovations from other leading brands? I’m also curious about how long a typical pair of Pumas lasts compared to other top contenders. Thanks for providing such a detailed perspective; it’ll surely help inform my next shoe shopping trip!
Hi, Louis, and thank you.
Thank you for your kind words.
About your question about how Puma’s tech stands up against innovations from other leading brands?
In my opinion, Puma, like other brands through the time, has been sometimes fast and sometimes slower. But in the last few years, they have developed well. It is a hard competition between the brands, both the leading and the others. And they need to develop their products well. And they have done that.
But comparing how long shoes last in all brands is very difficult. The reason is that so many factors have a huge effect.
For example, factors like how heavy you are, which terrain you use, if you are mainly running on concrete, etc.
I talked with one leading man in this business last year, and he 100% agrees with me about that. The thumb rule is 300-500 miles, and it can be more and less after brands, but I wouldn´t take that too seriously.
It’s great to hear about the benefit of the article, too.
